EPTRI has organised the half-day webinar “Biotechnology to bring innovation in the paediatric drug development” that took place online on the 2nd of October, 2020.
The webinar has been the opportunity to discuss and raise awareness on the serious lack of medicines for children in Europe and worldwide and to promote the application of biotechnology to bring innovation in the paediatric drug discovery and early development phases.
The virtual webinar included lectures on paediatrics themes given by researchers participating in EPTRI focusing on the innovative approaches available in the paediatric drug development with examples in the fields of omics application in drug target discovery and preclinical research, novel preclinical models as platform for drug discovery, biomarkers and personalized medicines and application of advanced therapy medicinal products.
A great participation has been achieved from researchers, academics, and pharma companies, but also patients’ associations interested to learn more about these topics.
