Strengthening EPTRI network – new members

Since the establishment of EPTRI as a legal entity in March 2024, EPTRI has been strengthening its network by adding new members that will increase knowledge on paediatric development and ontogeny and provide high-quality services supporting the discovery of novel therapies, medicines, medical devices and digital health solutions dedicated to children.

EPTRI has welcomed six new members, two integrated university-hospitals, one paediatric hospital, one patient organisation, one network of excellence and one innovative company, all bringing different expertise in paediatric research, increasing its members from fourteen to twenty, spread over ten countries.

Gent University is an open, pluralistic and socially engaged university. It is more than 200 years old, offers more than 200 programmes (including 69 English-taught master’s programmes) and conducts in-depth research within a wide range of scientific domains.

TEDDY – European Network of Excellence for Paediatric Research is a pioneering organisation in paediatric research, advocating for children’s rights and well-being through engagement with stakeholders. It started in 2005 and is an effective member of ACT-EU, ENCePP, and Enpr-EMA.

 

ALYN Hospital is a comprehensive rehabilitation centre for physically challenged and disabled children, adolescents and young adults, located in Jerusalem. ALYN Hospital has implemented the ALYN PARC, a facility aiming to measure the effectiveness of novel treatment approaches and verify the reliability and validity of newly-developed assessment tools.

 

 Milo Healthcare is a company based in France offering innovative electronic data capture (EDC) solutions for clinical trials, incorporating electronic case report form (eCRF) features and patient pre-screening.

 

Antwerp University Hospital (UZA), is a university centre providing patient-friendly tertiary care, high-quality academic training and groundbreaking scientific research with an important international focus.

 

ANDO Portugal, is a patient organisation aiming to support people living with bone diseases and their families. They provide current and reliable information and collaborate with medical, scientific and social research

 

The new members will increase the collaborative framework within EPTRI, providing innovative solutions and services to advance paediatric research.
