The European Network of Paediatric Research at EMA (Enpr-EMA) hosted its annual open meeting on 20 November 2025, at EMA’s premises in Amsterdam. The event gathered networks and key stakeholders in paediatric clinical trials to exchange knowledge and strengthen collaboration.
EPTRI was proudly represented by our Coordinator Dr. Donato Bonifazi during the session on Enhancing Trial Design and Conduct. Dr. Bonifazi presented EPTRI’s pivotal role in delivering patient-centric, innovative research for children, highlighting how the institute bridges translational research, from laboratory discoveries to real treatments, by integrating pre-clinical, developmental, and clinical research into a seamless paediatric-focused pathway. Dr. Bonifazi presentation is available here.
The session also showcased EPTRI’s services in supporting and promoting research tailored specifically to the paediatric population.
The meeting offered a platform to discuss the latest regulatory updates, innovations in trial design, and the modernisation of Good Clinical Practice. Participants also explored the implications of the EU Clinical Trial Regulation, as well as the emerging use of real-world data and artificial intelligence in paediatric research.
The Enpr-EMA Annual Open Meeting continues to serve as a cornerstone for fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and ensuring that paediatric clinical research remains patient-focused and scientifically robust.
