The Paediatric Biomarkers TRP provides different technologies and expertise to promote biomarker’s research in the paediatric setting in order to identify, characterise and validate new biomarkers for diagnosis, prognosis and personalised therapy in paediatric diseases, and evaluate the paediatric variability with respect to adult biomarkers.
The platform also gives access to quality controlled biosamples suitable for research on paediatric biomarkers.
Services are:
Access to paediatric patients’ cohort data sets and metadata
RNA transcripts and DNA variants biomarker identification and characterisation in paediatric samples
Metabolite candidate biomarker identification and characterisation in paediatric samples
Verification in paediatric samples of the presence and levels of biomarkers (metabolites, proteins, RNA transcripts, DNA variants) that had been previously identified in adult samples
Access to/deposit of annotated paediatric biological samples
Protein biomarker identification and characterisation in paediatric samples
Bioinformatics for the analysis of the data generated by omics platform
