Tom Melvin
Prof. Tom Melvin is Associate Professor of Medical Device Regulatory Science at the University of Galway, with extensive expertise in medical device regulation and regulatory science. He is Chair of the Biomedical Alliance Regulatory Affairs Committee and a member of the European Medicines Agency Expert Panels for medical devices. He previously served as Senior Medical Officer for Medical Devices at the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA).
Kathryn Beardsall
Dr Beardsall is Associate Professor in Paediatrics at the University of Cambridge and Honorary Consultant Neonatologist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. She has extensive experience in neonatal research and clinical trials, with a focus on glucose monitoring, innovative vital sign technologies, and the development of medical devices addressing the specific needs of newborns.
Inês Alves
Inês Alves is President of ANDO Portugal, the National Association for Skeletal Dysplasias, member of the EMA Committee for Orphan Medicinal Products, and PhD candidate at the University of Évora in Human Kinetics.
Patrice L. Weiss
Prof. Weiss is Executive Research Advisor at the ALYN Pediatric Rehabilitation Research Center and Emeritus Professor at the University of Haifa. She has extensive experience in paediatric rehabilitation technologies, virtual rehabilitation and human-centred innovation.
Emilia Biffi
Dr Biffi is researcher at the Bioengineering Laboratory of the Scientific Institute IRCCS E. Medea. Her research focuses on innovative technologies for paediatric rehabilitation, including robotics, virtual reality and wearable devices. She has extensive experience in clinical trials and evaluation of high-tech medical devices.
