EPTRI Scientific Meeting 2026

We are happy to announce our General Assembly and Scientific Meeting that will be held on 28 to 29 of July in Warsaw, Poland, at the premises of our member, Children’s Memorial Health Institute (CMHI).

At this event we will discuss the the most innovative approaches to paediatric drugsdevices development and health data.

Call for abstracts

We have launched a call for abstracts for the EPTRI Scientific Meeting 2026 to select abstracts for oral presentations on several topics related to the following topics:.

  • Advanced Therapies

Translational and clinical development of advanced therapies in paediatric populations, including gene and cell therapies, with a focus on manufacturing challenges, scalability, and long-term follow-up.

  • Strategic Directions in Medical Device Development

Design, development, and integration of paediatric medical devices and emerging health technologies, emphasising cross-sector collaboration and innovation ecosystems in device development.

  • Advancing Paediatric Clinical Research: Innovative Methodologies and Clinical Research Networks

Innovative methodological approaches and use cases that strengthen paediatric clinical research, and the role of clinical research networks in enabling, coordinating, and scaling multinational studies, with emphasis on patient and family involvement.

  • Regulatory & Ethical Challenges

Regulatory science and ethical frameworks supporting paediatric research and innovation, with a focus on inclusivity, transparency, and responsible development and implementation of emerging technologies.

  • Real-World Health Data, Digital Health and AI Applications

Use of real-world data, digital health solutions, and artificial intelligence to advance paediatric research and healthcare delivery, including EHDS-related initiatives, in silico methodologies, and AI-driven clinical and operational applications.

We encourage researchers from universities, hospitals, companies, agencies, charities and patient groups and all other interested stakeholders to submit an abstract to the EPTRI Scientific Meeting.

Important Dates for Abstract Submission

  • Deadline for Abstract Submission: 26/05/2026
  • Registration of the presenting author is mandatory to all accepted abstracts. Only registered authors will have their abstracts published in the online “Book of Abstracts” of EPTRI.

 

Abstract submission

To submit your abstract please fill in the Abstract Submission Form.  Authors can submit a maximum of three abstracts but can be the presenting author of only one. All abstracts must be submitted in English only. Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.

The accepted abstract from registered presenting authors will be published in the “Book of Abstracts” of the Thematic Scientific Meeting 2026 which will be available online on the EPTRI official website at www.eptri.eu.

Author guidelines

When submitting your abstract, please follow the guidelines given below:

  • Submitter’s contact details (Full first and family name(s), email, phone number, country)
  • Presenting author’s and co-Authors’ details (Full first and family name(s), affiliations)
  • Affiliation details: Institution/Company/University/Hospital/Department, City, Country
  • Abstract topic: please choose from the list of topics
  • Abstract title: please add the title in the abstract form
  • Abstract text: please fill the abstract form and keep in mind that the abstract should not exceed 4000 characters with spaces
  • Tables and Figures should not be included.
  • Keywords: up to 5 keywords may be provided (at least 1 keyword is required to go ahead with the submission)

 

Abstract acceptance criteria

Abstract will be accepted and scored using the following criteria:

Relevance of the topic for paediatric medicines discovery, biomarkers identification/validation, developmental pharmacology, formulations, and medical devices. Its innovation (how new/recent/up to date the information/study is) and practical application to the field.

 

Quality of content

  • Clarity of the title
  • Concision, coherence, and clarity of content (summary of purpose, methodology, results, conclusions, next steps/practical application, etc.)
  • Originality

 

Confirmation of receipt & notification of decision

You will receive email confirmation that your abstract has been received, indicating the allocated abstract number. Please refer to this abstract number in all further correspondence regarding the abstract. Please contact [email protected] if you submit an abstract and do not receive confirmation that it has been received. Only the submitter will receive all information concerning the abstract. Authors will be notified about results by 20/06/2026. Registration of the presenting authors before 22/06/2026 is mandatory for accepted abstracts. Only abstracts from registered presenting authors will be included in the program and published in the online “Book of Abstracts” of the Thematic Scientific Meeting 2026.

Copyright & Legal Obligation

All information in the abstract submission, including authors’ names, affiliations, and the content of abstract, will be used in the meeting publications and published on the EPTRI website at www.eptri.eu. The contributor carries legal obligations of the abstract; any violation to a third party’s rights will be the responsibility of the contributor him/herself.
